The term Emotional Intelligence, in short, EI, refers to an Individuals ability to perceive, control and evaluate emotions for self and others. The ability to harness emotions and utilising them as a resource in various situations in life . Its the Ability to a mange, regulate his or her own emotions and the ability to influence the emotions of others around .

How well you do in your life and career is determined by both. IQ alone is not enough; EQ also matters. In fact, psychologists generally agree that among the ingredients for success, IQ counts for roughly 10% (at best 25%); the rest depends on everything else — including EQ.

Tools and Techniques for Increasing Competence in the Four Domains of EI

- Explaining each domain: Self Awareness, Self Management, Social Awareness, Relationship Management
- Describing developmental activities that will increase skill and understanding
- Practicing developmental activities associated with each domain

Identifying Areas for Improvement and Specific Steps for Developing Emotional Intelligence
